We’d like to take the name "kennel" and replace it with names like camp, spa, and hotel. We offer cage-free overnight boarding for dogs of all shapes, sizes and needs.

Our rooms are just that; rooms. They are solid walled, have a front door and glass windows. The floors are made of the same rubber we use throughout the Center. Condos are 8x8, bungalows and cottages are 5x8. They are custom designed and engineered to be safe, attractive and comfortable. All rooms have fresh filtered water and raised beds. You can provide your own bedding, though it is not necessary.

Metro Dog offers three boarding options for adult dogs:

Cottages are a room of one’s own – private rooms.
Bungalows provide double occupancy rooms.
Condos are companionable three or more dog rooms.

Whether you choose to room your dog in a private Cottage, dual Bungalow, or triple Condo, he or she will enjoy a raised bed complete with a cookie on his/her pillow at bed time. All rooms have plenty of fresh air, overhead radiant heat, filtered water, music for relaxation, and 24 hour on-site supervision.

Housekeeping will visit your dog’s room daily to ensure that it is clean and tidy at all times. Nothing but the best for your best friend!

A wonderful option for non-social dogs.

Metro Dog caters to all types of dogs. While the vast majority of our clients take advantage of our full social program, there are others who just don't do so well in company. Our private boarding program offers your dog the safety and security of a solo experience while staying at Metro Dog.

Set in a low stimulus environment, non-social dogs enrolled in private boarding have a room to themselves. In their room they are allowed all the toys and bones you would like them to have.

Private dogs take three 15 minute trips to our outside yards to play and take care of business in the company of their human handler. They also have a half hour private play session with their handler every day they are a guest at Metro Dog.

The fee for Private boarding is $75.00 per day.

Metro Dog offers private rooms for $55-75/night, depending on the needs of your dog:
• If your dog can spend their day in social groups, the fee is $55 for a private room.
• If your dog must be cared for solo, ie not spend time in social groups, the fee is $75 per day for private boarding.

A dog that boards privately receives 3 -15 minute mini play sessions alone with a handler in our play yards and one private 30 minute play session per day.
